I would like to remind all users that in case of out-of-date versions, using the "flag as out-of-date" feature per AUR guidelines is the fastest way to reach me and get me to respond. Commenting on the AUR website has the same effect, but please do not file deletion requests, as this merely wastes AUR maintainers' time. Thank you!

It may be necessary to delete your local note cache folder in your: ~/.syno_ns_app in order for the upgrade to work. Somehow it contains copies of the notestation binaries

Deleting this folder, deletes the settings, the local note cache and the login!

Synology have updated this package. The client tries to install an update but it doesnt seem to work. On my debian machine I had to reinstall from the .deb package to work. Is is possible to update this to the latest version here?

Thanks a lot for the proposal and sorry for the late answer. I updated the pkgver and also use it in the downloadURL. As you noticed, the URL was already up2date.

Thanks you! :)

I see that the source url is updated to 2.1.4 but not the pkgver.

Maybe you could replace the source url with ${pkgver/_/-} to avoid mismatch?

source=("https://global.download.synology.com/download/Tools/NoteStationClient/${pkgver/_/-}/Fedora/x86_64/synology-note-station-${pkgver/_/-}-linux-x86_64.rpm")

Since you're not using it now, you can get rid of the rpmextract makedep as well.

Thank you, I replaced rsync with cp, added i686 support and added dependencies.

bennyli commented on 2017-12-19 10:48 (UTC)

You're using rsync in your PKGBUILD, but it was not installed on my system so the installation failed. Pls consider to use cp instead (like the other synology stuff from the aur does) or to add rsync to the makedepends config (which did work for me by manually adding it).
