This package is terribly outdated.
It is superseded by systemd-cron-next (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/systemd-cron-next/).

You will need rust nightly to build this package. I tried to avoid it, but there're still are lot of unstable things related to file system operations unavailable in stable rust channel. I hope they will stabilize these parts soon, meanwhile I had to fallback to nightly channel.

The PKGBUILD contains some naive basic checks for available rust version and should stop you from trying to build the package with incorrect version.

How to get correct rust version:

1. install "rust-nightly-bin" from AUR,
2. install "multirust" from AUR and run "multirust default nightly" before installing this package,
3. install nightly rust from official site: http://www.rust-lang.org/install.html

Breaking change!
The 0.9.0 release is totally rewritten.

I'm in the process of dropping python dependency and rewriting whole thing in Rust.

I published the release as a preview, as soon as it worked on my laptop,
so no guarantees can be given it will work on your machine.

Although I tried to incorporate a lot of knowledge from fellow systemd-cron project (and my old python version of crontab generator was merged into the systemd-cron codebase a long time ago), this code is very-very alpha and can do everything, including eating your laundry.

I'm not responsible for any data losses or other damages if you install this package. You have been warned!

Thanks! Though, why would you include all the upstream sources in the tarball, as opposed to just building from git?

Added man pages and systemd-related improvements + bugfixes.

Kudos go to Alexandre Detiste (https://github.com/a-detiste) for man pages and Daniel Schaal (https://github.com/schaal) for fixes and improvements. Thank you very much for your contributions and support!

Latest version includes crontab utility.

I don't include crontab utility equivalent, you'll have to edit your crontab files manually. After you update them, run systemd-crontab-update helper script as root (sudo systemd-crontab-update) to update systemd services and timers.

This is a very simple systemd crontab generator prototype in python2 intended to be drop-in replacement for any kind of crons and anacrons. Use carefully, it is not production ready! I'm not responsible for any data losses or system failures, this is an alpha product! You were warned! Please post here any found bugs, I'll try to address them asap. Thank you for your patience and testing efforts.
