Yes! Thank you! Unfortunately it doesn't solve my problem with ape but I have commented on that aur package as well. I assume you are more interested in the microchip stuff than ape?

@mthead it should be fixed. I included the upstream changes.

@stiefel40k good catch on the _tcl_tag typo!

Well, I probably maintain that microchip package too and I haven't been able to do much work on maintaining it lately because this has been broken!

stiefel40k commented on 2017-09-07 13:38 (UTC)

@greyltc Done. Sure you can, however I've never done any packaging yet besides this "hacking" to install microchips compiler, which I failed miserably, as it doesn't seem to work on a x86_64 system...

@stiefeil40k Cool! Let's just switch to your kitgen repo. The pattyhoyts one has seemingly been dead for years. Could you please tag a release in your repo (so I don't have to reference a commit hash here) and also pull in this change: https://github.com/mickael9/kitgen/commit/1c900656a860caa80d5cb50334fc653087d50cbe ? Also, may I make you a co-maintainer here?

So basically the issue is, that the zlib-Library within 8.x too old is. I made a fork of the github repo and updated the zlib files and created a pull request. Changing the url within the PKGBLD to the fork fixed the issue. If you want I can provide as an update. (btw. if anybody wants to fix this locally you can use my fork stiefel40k/kitgen)
