@mluque Yes, it seems that Microsoft is doing the wrong thing and has deleted the packages from the repository. There are several open threads on this topic.

The truth is that since the announcement that Microsoft was going to withdraw the Teams client, one does not know what is going to happen. I hope they restore the files, but in the meantime I have uploaded the binaries here (they are the Arch packages, I don't have the original .deb packages but if someone passes them to me I can include them).

Please, before flag as Out-of-date perform a double check in versions. Version 1.4.00.4855 is higher than 1.3.00.30857, 1.3.00.5153 or 1.3.00.958.

If you doubt, please remember the math classes and perform a count 1, 2, 3, 4, ..., 958, 959, ..., 5152, 5153, 5154, ..., 30856, 30857, 30858, etc.

You can go to HERE, download DEB or RPM and compare versions

Microsoft has announced that Teams is now done on Linux and will be replaced with a PWA (Progressive Web App - no worky on Firefox). Even if they bring back the old binaries it is still the unmaintained turd that it has been since the past year or so.

Thank you ogarcia for maintaining the package in this time.

https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/teams-for-linux is a fine, unofficial alternative that even allows screen sharing under Wayland.

The only thing that I can't get to work on either the official Teams client or the unofficial one is gifs.

The sooner organisations start listening to their engineering teams and stop forcing this complete pile of crap on us all the better.

@mozo,

I have sent you the teams to your profile email. This version works for me, sometimes it produces some crashes, but in general it works.

The binary is available from the internet archive and if the pkginfo is update to use this link instead it builds as expected.

I have the binary version "teams_1.5.00.10453_amd64.deb" which is the only binary that has worked for me, if you want me to share it let me know.

When trying to build the package, I obtain the next error messages:

curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 404 ==> ERROR: Failure while downloading https://packages.microsoft.com/repos/ms-teams/pool/main/t/teams/teams_1.5.00.23861_amd64.deb
