@mluque Yes, it seems that Microsoft is doing the wrong thing and has deleted the packages from the repository. There are several open threads on this topic.

The truth is that since the announcement that Microsoft was going to withdraw the Teams client, one does not know what is going to happen. I hope they restore the files, but in the meantime I have uploaded the binaries here (they are the Arch packages, I don't have the original .deb packages but if someone passes them to me I can include them).

Please, before flag as Out-of-date perform a double check in versions. Version 1.4.00.4855 is higher than 1.3.00.30857, 1.3.00.5153 or 1.3.00.958.

If you doubt, please remember the math classes and perform a count 1, 2, 3, 4, ..., 958, 959, ..., 5152, 5153, 5154, ..., 30856, 30857, 30858, etc.

You can go to HERE, download DEB or RPM and compare versions

Hi, I am working with two older versions. Except for some random crashes, the rest works fine, has anyone tried this latest version?

Is there any way to see what bugs each update is fixing? Forgive my ignorance, but I can't find it.

EDIT: I upgraded to this latest version and the calls do not work.

@Dreamkey done

@ogarcia you might want to add pulseaudio to optdepends, without it Teams was crashing when I was trying to make a call (even to the test call).

@f0rdprefect better to post the hackernews source which usually has more information https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=32678839

In any case, little will change. It is now a web application running in electron (a web browser with a single window) and then it will be a PWA a web application that will be launched in any browser (we'll see, I don't believe anything) and that you will be able to launch as a "standalone application". Same dog, different necklace.

Looks like M$ is benching the Teams Desktop client for Linux

@echa Thanks, the web app seems to work fine, so it looks like its the desktop app that is the issue.

@merzo I use X11 (Xorg) with Nvidia drivers and btw I switched to web version as it supports background effects and it's a more recent version. @galvez_65 I believe I had this problem on windows a year ago, try to use the web to log-in with the account and if the problem is resolved then probably the desktop app doesn't support it yet.

Did I do something wrong or does the Teams Preview not work with a "free" account. Once I log in it says I have the wrong version of teams and need to switch accounts or apps.

I found the solution for my blinking shared screen. I had to disable vsync at my intel card.

Solution under point: "Disable Vertical Synchronization (VSYNC)" https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Intel_graphics#Disable_Vertical_Synchronization_(VSYNC)

For NVIDIA you can find solutions: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/flickering-on-arch-linux-with-a-screen-capture.63322/

@echa, could you please say do you use Xorg or Wayland, what's the glibc version? Do you use any specific options to run Teams? Do you mean that meeting participants see your screen without blinking when you you share your screen?
