I'll remove the version flag as 2.7.6 seems to be a closed alpha.

Package updates are on wait as (my guess) is that a newer libtg_owt is required.

@silentnoodle Oh, thank you. Downloaded the .tar.zst and installed it manually, now the build worked. Rookie mistake from my part. :)

@Hitman47 libtg_owt exists in the community repo, you can get it with pacman
https://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/x86_64/libtg_owt/

@silentnoodle If I looked correctly it is using ninja instead of makepkg in the build script. I tried passing different arguments to ninja but with no effect.
Should i try to just remove libtg_owt from the dep list, or i break my packages? Or to install that manually, it is not found in the AUR but at it's git page.

@Hitman47 ligtg_owt is a new make dependency since 2.4.13, if you pass the -s
flag to makepkg it should sync it automatically
Hitman47 commented on 2020-12-15 13:16 (UTC)
2.4.11 built perfectly, but now 2.4.14 fails with "unable to satisfy dependency 'libtg_owt' required by telegram-desktop-dev" Is that a missing package or something in the build file?
SolarAquarion commented on 2020-08-14 16:59 (UTC)
you need to add qt5-wayland as a dependency
ItachiSan commented on 2020-07-06 14:29 (UTC)
The package was flagged as out-of-date due to 2.1.16 (now .17); that is however a beta release, thus the '-dev' packages will be updated but not this one.

Given the logs I cannot say what is the issue. On my test machine everything worked fine.

Hi, Just wanted to inform you that I am unable to build the package due to the incredibly high RAM usage at linking phase; with a bare boot of 800MB RAM, 16GB available and 6GB of swap I am unable to link the final binary.
I will report upstream the issue and link it here, however as of today until any improvement happens I won't be able to verify the building of the package e.g. see that the final binary is linked and packaged.
