Looks like the patch is no longer necessary. It's in upstream. Can't build properly with it included.

Edit the MAKEPKG during installation and set version number to 3.0.18 and set the SHA Fingerprint Sum to 'SKIP' It installed just fine, but fails on the old version. Should be a easy rev for /u/flying-sheep
