This also needs python-lxml as a (runtime) dependency. Without that, inkscape will display a load error.

Thank you for packaging this! Works like a charm. Just two minor remarks: In makedepends, 'mercurial' should be replaced by 'git', and I suggest adding 'python-gobject' to depends as this is the recommended GUI library. Without either it does not build in a clean chroot.

Just to let you know, the 0.9 version of textext has a bug and tries to write its log file to /usr/share/inkscape/extnsions, which obviously does not work. A fix is submitted upstream, but not yet merged.

To get functioning textext, download this pkgbuild and change the following to use the fixed version on my fork:

url="https://github.com/Ablinne/textext.git"

source=("git+$url#branch=ab/fix111")

Sorry I missed the comments her. Should be fixed soon.

Could the maintainer please update based on the previous comment? I tested adding win_app_paths.py to the for loop and indeed that does get it to show up for me.

I asked upstream. It seems to be a problem with the PKGUILD file. Please see https://bitbucket.org/pitgarbe/textext/issues/28/howto-debug-if-menu-entry-does-not-show-up The quintessence is: There the error is in the PKGBUILD file where win_app_paths.py is missing in the for loop: package() { cd textext/ install -d "$pkgdir"/usr/share/inkscape/extensions for _i in asktext.py default_packages.tex latexlogparser.py textext.{inx,py} typesetter.py do install ${_i} "$pkgdir"/usr/share/inkscape/extensions/$_i done install -d "$pkgdir"/usr/share/licenses/$pkgname install LICENSE.txt "$pkgdir"/usr/share/licenses/$pkgname/LICENSE.txt } I hope that this helps!

I added mercurial as makedependency. Could you please ask upstream your question?

Thank you for providing this package. A few comments: - Mercurial should be a dependency - The Textext menu entry does not show up in my version of inkscape. It does show up with the normal version of textext. Do you have an idea why this could be?
