I am going to skip Thanos 0.40.x due to a severe amount of failing tests which have no reason to fail.

Hi!

I have updated this package to 0.35.1, cleaned it up a bit to comply with Go packaging guidelines and use Arch build flags (similar to what extra/prometheus does instead of relying on the promu binary) and added tests.
