looks like this package hasn't been updated in a while, the most current release is 7.18.2.

Luckily, it's only the version number and SHA sum that needs to be updated.

So for anyone wanting to use 7.18.2, the SHA256 sum is

@andrej this is only the client. You need to connect it to a RouterOS Device that has the Dude package installed. The client does not have any discovery protocols builtin afaik. If you are referring to MNDP which Winbox uses to discover RouterOS devices... MNDP is not implemented in the Dude client. But it should work flawlessly in wine with winbox as long as 5678/udp is allowed on your linux network interface.

Out of curiosity, what is this package actually intended for? Is it for some reverse-engineering experiments? Because thedude seems to require some low-level discovery protocols that won’t work on Wine, so it (unsurprisingly) doesn’t connect anywhere and can’t find any Mikrotik devices…

Edit: This looks like the way to go: https://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?t=188816
