When I opened this application for the first time, it says that there is a version 3.4.2 available.
Unfortunately, the website it's on is currently on Google's dangerous sites list because it's serving malware.

Any chances of this package getting an update?

Doesn't build for me, it says:

$ packer -S thinkingrock
Dependency `jre6-compat' of `thinkingrock' does not exist.

working nice now. still the only GTD I found with a good workflow

rfnash commented on 2014-07-25 17:39

I think I've fixed the problem described by capoeira, thanks to the discussion thread he linked. Basically, ThinkingRock needs java6, and jdkhome has to point to an installation of java6. I've added a dependency to a package that provides java6, and changed jdkhome to point to it.

Since this application is no longer being developed as an open source application (for a few years now), and now seems to be causing problems for some users, I'm disowning it. If it's not adopted for a while, I'll request for it to be deleted on the mailing list.

if anybody could help, i opened a topic:

capoeira commented on 2014-01-27 09:30

well, that sucks
it's not working with openjdk either

xyproto commented on 2014-01-25 12:33

That might be. Have you tried with openjdk?

capoeira commented on 2014-01-25 12:09

look at that. migt be because i'm using JRE?

xyproto commented on 2014-01-24 14:40

Made a few minor updates to the PKGBUILD.

capoeira, thinkingrock build, installs and runs just fine here. If there are problems with the application itself, report it upstream to the thinkingrock developers. (It seems like they have stopped developing the open source edition of thinkingrock, though, so I would not have too high hopes for seeing any improvements ever).

getting database error all the time.

xyproto commented on 2012-08-22 13:53

The latest version is still 2.2.1 from 2009. Version 3 is not open source and not freely available for download!

Please don't flag this package as out of date without first checking that there is a new version at

xyproto commented on 2011-09-05 08:36

ligniteval, also, the package is not out of date, so I'm unflagging it as such. See:

xyproto commented on 2011-09-05 08:34

ligniteval, "pacman -Si openjdk6 | grep Provides" shows that openjdk6 provides java-runtime and the Java Package Guidelines are clear:

Anonymous comment on 2011-09-04 05:44

there is not a package named java-runtime.
please modify PKGBUILD.thank you.

xyproto commented on 2011-02-28 17:05

Cleaned up the PKGBUILD (removed || return 1, added gtk-update-icon-cache).

xyproto commented on 2010-12-20 14:38

I am a robot. AUR guidelines suggest to not include binaries. Examples:
A survey of TUs suggests an icon or two is okay, but please ask upstream to officially include it. This robot will not bother you again.
