I'm orphaning this package as I no longer use Xfce. The next version introduces GTK3 support and is NOT backwards compatible with the previous one. If you are interested in dealing with that somehow and updating this package, please adopt the package.

@Plexcon: You seem to be trying to use an old version? That line should be like this: checking for thunarx-2 >= 1.1.0... 1.6.12 Please make sure your system is up-to-date.

@notuxius: Naturally, because "thunar-gtk3" is not in the repos. If you want to use an AUR version of a dependency that exists in the repos, you need to manually install it first (with --asdeps flag), and then build thunarx-python.

notuxius commented on 2017-07-07 13:00 (UTC)

If you have 'thunar-gtk3' installed instead of just 'thunar' - this package is trying to install 'thunar' package.

Do you have special characters in the build path? Like quotes? Try building it something like /tmp/thunarx or something.

Removed dependency on gnome-python and bumped pkgrel to 2.

@dcelasun I can confirm inp3dance's comment - this package builds just fine without gnome-python. gnome-python is not listed as a dependency on the thunarx-python page: http://goodies.xfce.org/projects/bindings/thunarx-python I don't think it is a dependency. Can it be removed please? Thanks.
