@ishitatsuyuki thanks a lot! This works like a charm :)

You'll need to apply this patch:

https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/tree/PKGBUILD?h=thunderbird-beta-bin#n45

Hi, this does not run at all. It just hangs 1 cpu core. Any help is appreciated!

After upgrading to this version the application no longer starts, I had to migrate to thunderbird-beta.

Has anyone else notices this behavior? I am running on 5.2.11-1-MANJARO

Hi, thanks for this PKGBUILD. Based on this I created thunderbird-60-bin which will stick to thunderbird 60.x releases, because some of my add-ons are not compatible yet with Thunderbird 68.x. You may add thunderbird-60-bin as a conflict.

Yep, thunderbird 60.5.0 is out, but Archlinux still has 60.4.0. I would like to keep them in sync, so that all 1000 addon-packages are working too. :-)

Precompiled binaries require SSE2:

This browser version requires a processor with the SSE2 instruction set extension. You may be able to obtain a version that does not require SSE2 from your Linux distribution.

Complain to Mozilla if this bothers you, not to me. :-)

Also note: this package is primarily for Archlinux32 when thunderbird refuses to build from source to serve as a temporary replacement.
