I would also suggest you to rebuild the package while forcing desired locale, e.g., THUNDERBIRD_PKGLANG='en-US' makepkg -sif. Deletion of old tarball maybe needed. If it works, you may also set this variable somewhere in your shell profile.

I've set my system locale where I'm located, but I like my applications in English.

I now set intl.locale.matchOS to false and restarted Thunderbird, but UI is still in my local language.

Hi @atroxix,

It seems to be caused by intl.locale.matchOS, I grabbed this option from TOR browser as is. Could you please describe a use case why one may want thunderbird locale to be different from system locale?

Any idea why UI language (menus, dialogs, etc.) is always set to my system's locale instead of what has been set in Thunderbird's settings? I've tried setting under Language & Appearance and also in parameter intl.locale.requested under config, but neither method has any effect. UI language was OK with though (I've switched because this build seems to be updated more frequently).
