TIEmu does apparently not play with modern evdev based keyboard input methods due to hardcoded scancodes. In my case this resulted in several keys not working or giving wrong input.

I have found a patch at http://code.technoplaza.net/tiemu/pckeys_evdev.patch (via https://sourceforge.net/p/gtktiemu/mailman/message/23183292/ ) that applies cleanly to 3.03.

Do you think you could add this to the PKGBUILD? (Is not using libinput/evdev even still an option in Arch?)

Checked version with online sources, no change in source code so far. Whoever flagged this can you provide the link to the new sources if there is a version > 3.03-4?

Thanks for letting me know! I've added wget to the make dependencies in the PKGBUILD

Could you add wget to the make dependencies? Otherwise, it gives the error 'ERROR: The download program wget is not installed.'. It installs fine if I install wget.

Jeah, I just noticed those changes by chance, as I regulary loop over the AUR folders and do a git fetch to see if there are updates. So I noticed this cosmectic change and the missing one ;) Didn't update the package though because of this either

One of these days I'll learn to properly proofread my PKGBUILDs. Pushed an update, no need to update on your end (unless you have a burning desire for 'return 1'-less PKGBUILDs)

You did remove the return statement from the make call, but there is still one on the configure line which also can be removed :)

Thanks for the tip, I'll modify the PKGBUILD later tonight with the changes.
