I think I discovered what the issue was: the distribution package included the lex-generated .h files, but not the .m files. So there was probably a mismatch between the header and the source file. It should be fixed in 0.5.

Now that's interesting. I had that same error last time I tried to build tikzit 0.3c, but 0.4 builds fine for me. Do you have flex, bison and gcc up to date?

No, I think the problem is that the environment is incorrect. As an immediate solution, you can just source /etc/profile.d/GNUstep.sh before running makepkg. But this should probably be done in the PKGBUILD.
