yeah I might remove the make test, as upstream maintainer has issues with their unit tests being up to date

This is still failing to install for me as the tests aren't passing. I manually edited the pkgbuild and commented out make test to get it to install, and that worked fine with no issues running tippecanoe afterwards either.

I fixed the permissions, shouldn't be an issue anymore

Btw, it looks like the binaries are missing the executable bit:

That's essentially what I was using, but one of their tests fails:

pmtiles-test

when you run:

make test

Sure, here it is, I just followed the https://github.com/felt/tippecanoe/#installation instructions (and checked out tag 2.32.0 in between):

$ git clone https://github.com/felt/tippecanoe.git
$ cd tippecanoe
$ git checkout 2.32.0
$ make -j
$ make install

so for now I've disabled "pmtiles-test" as it will fail and tank the build. All other tests succeed. Until the upstream maintainer fixes their tests, pmtiles-test will remain disabled.

do you have the command you ran and compiled the 2.32 successfully?

I can manually compile 2.32 (and today's HEAD) fine from the upstream repo. So maybe updating this package to 2.32 solves it ?
