If you see errors regarding a missing python-magic dependency, make sure that you install python-magic-ahupp from the AUR. This resolves to the Python package python-magic, which is not the python-magic package in the Community repo, although the two packages do conflict on account of using the same module name.

It's a dumb problem that the Python package maintainers could easily resolve, but appear to have dug in their heels. I'll be reaching out to upstream on the ahupp side to see if that's really the case or if they might be open to reason.

A reminder to everyone that "tootstream-git" is currently abandoned, https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/tootstream-git

So maybe in the future the same person(s) can adopt it and also help co-maintain this "tootstream". More pairs of eyes on the same tool, instead of reduplicating work.

... If i miss a version just let me know.

There is a button on the github repo web page. It says "Watch". You can choose how and when to be notified when something happens. If you choose to get an email when there is new release, you cant miss it.

Just a quick comment to say that i'll take over the maintenance of this package. If anyone cares. I'll keep it updated for as long as i'm using it. If i miss a version just let me know.

I don't actually use this software anymore. Going to orphan the package.
