Please note: This is an alpha release. You should only try this one if you are interested in tracking Tor development, testing new features, making sure that Tor still builds on unusual platforms, or generally trying to hunt down bugs. If you want a stable experience, please stick to the stable releases.

I believe you can just rebuild tor after updating perl and all should be fine.

/etc/tor is now owned by tor:tor and not readable system wide Ill reference the various transports in optional depends, Ive never used any of them before

not sure what you mean about the transports being built with this, arent they already in the AUR as separate packages? Ill look into setting more restrictive permissions.
