For whom is not able to build tor-messenger from this aur package try to substitute the package version with the desired version you can find here: https://dist.torproject.org/tormessenger/ and sha256sums with ones you find inside (your version) tor-messenger folder (see previous link). Tested with 0.4.0b3 version and worked fine.

unfortunately this is way out of date.
I would recommended building from source or asking nicepack really nicely to update :).

Why is this package using non verifiable sha512 sums?

The tor project provides signed sha256 sums which are easily verifiable.

encfs: Look at the comment below yours and download the files on that github link. Then change to the directory you downloaded them to and run makepkg to build an installable package. Then as root, run pacman -U generatedpackagename.tar.gz replacing the filename with the correct one.
