Well, it looks like the maintainer has no interest in updating this. Maybe the right time for disowning this package?

encfs: Look at the comment below yours and download the files on that github link. Then change to the directory you downloaded them to and run makepkg to build an installable package. Then as root, run pacman -U generatedpackagename.tar.gz replacing the filename with the correct one.

Has anyone gotten tor-messenger to work. Every time I try to install something else comes up...

The permissions for the installed files and directories in the tar file do not allow for regular users to execute the program.
