Tracktion 6 is moved to AUR4 https://aur4.archlinux.org/packages/tracktion-6
An older but free version tracktion-4-free is available at https://aur4.archlinux.org/packages/tracktion-4-free

Also, dependencies 'desktop-file-utils' and 'shared-mime-info' (for the commands used in the .install file) should be added

Furthermore, quoting from the Linux FAQ in the Tracktion forum at kvraudio.com "As of v6.1 Tracktion for Linux is considered production-ready and licenses now need to be purchased for new installs.". The post-build message should be adapted accordingly.

The value of the "Version" key in the desktop file should be 1.0. It holds the version of the desktop file format, not the version of the application.

Updated to 6.1.0
I removed the sed commands to correct the original tracktion.desktop file and included one in the tarball.

I had to do some further adaptations to my PKGBULD to make it work with the format and contents of the new distribution archive:

Version 6.1.0 is out for Linux as well now.

IMPORTANT

This is the latest version of Tracktion and the best one to install. The binary will be installed as tracktion6 and can live alongside tracktion-5, installed as 'tracktion', if that version should be on your system.

Best would be that all aur Tracktion versions were merged.

If you want this to happen, why don't you just ask for it on the AUR mailing list? No TU will read this here, so that's how it's going to happen, not by wishing for it here in the comments!
