Hi, I created a non-git version of this program based on your PKGBUILD, and made some improvements to it, in particular: - add man page - remove unneeded packages from 'optdepends' I suggest you to merge some of my changes so everyone can benefit from them. @m13253 Thanks a lot, issue solved! You made a good point here. Might be worth discussing this with the AUR developers on the mailing list.

@orschiro I updated the version info written in PKGBUILD. You will not receive notification any more. P.S. Acturally I can not understand why there should be a static "pkgver" column for a -git package. Nor can I understand why "v0.8.19.2" < "0". :-) Thanks.

@m13253 My fault. You are right. The built pkgver is correct. However, something seems to be wrong with the package detail. Since it is shown as `translate-shell-git 0-1`, I constantly get an update notification: ~ pacaur -k :: aur translate-shell-git v0.8.19.2.gf45d3f5-1 -> 0-1 Any idea how to fix this?

@orschiro I'm getting v0.8.19.2.gf45d3f5-1 at pacman -Qi translate-shell-git after installing. Could you please try executing git describe --always | sed 's|-|.|g' at the git repository? I don't think --long changes the behavior.
