I'm actually in the process of reworking all of the tree-sitter packages that I own. There's a breaking change to neovim-tree-sitter-git that would break all other tree-sitter packages that I want to address first.

The upstream repo this is using hasn't been updated in a year, and it's broken with current versions of tree-sitter.

Please update to using the official grammar repo at https://github.com/elixir-lang/tree-sitter-elixir
