Received this e-mail from Trillian: "We plan on pushing out a Linux build either this week or next week - sorry for the delay. -Kevin" It should be using libzip.so.5 too.

Does not work after updating libzip. But this quick fix works: ln -s /usr/lib/libzip.so.5.0.0 /usr/lib/libzip.so.4

Hi guys. Just wanted to confirm that with the latest update, this is now working for me. Thanks for the hard work, Han.

Oh, you're right. It's because I'd downgraded gtk3 to 3.18 due to theme issues and gtkmm3 threw an error because it wasn't in sync with gtk3. My bad. I'll update the PKGBUILD then.

That is odd. On my archlinux installation it is working just fine. Previous version was crashing on libcrypto and libssl errors. version 2.0.0.7 reports same errors in console as previous: trillian: /usr/lib/libcrypto.so.1.0.0: no version information available (required by trillian) trillian: /usr/lib/libssl.so.1.0.0: no version information available (required by trillian) But it is not crashing. It runs just fine after this report.

@Kisuke-CZE v2.0.0.7 fails with the same errors as earlier versions have.

New version of trillian was released. Version 2.0.0.7 is working OK in Archlinux. Bad thing (for someone) may be that there is no 32bit version. Only 64-bit now. Working PKGBUILD here: # Original Maintainer: mariusn <marius softpedia com> # Maintainer: HanFox <hanfox dot co dot uk> # Contributor: Doug Newgard <scimmia22 at outlook dot com> pkgname=trillian pkgver=2.0.0.7 pkgrel=1 pkgdesc="A commercial, multi-protocol and cross-platform IM client" arch=('x86_64') url="https://www.trillian.im" license=('Proprietary') depends=('gtkmm3' 'libzip' 'openssl' 'webkitgtk' 'libnotify' 'libpulse' 'libxss' 'librsvg') optdepends=('libappindicator-gtk3: tray icon support') install='trillian.install' source_x86_64=("https://www.trillian.im/get/linux/2.0/trillian_2.0.0.7_v5_amd64.deb") md5sums_x86_64=('39ddb1c10535f56bc3f1fad95344db3a') package() { tar xvf "$srcdir/data.tar.xz" -C "$pkgdir/" libzip_link=/usr/lib/libzip.so.2 if [ ! -f "$libzip_link" ]; then mkdir -p $pkgdir/usr/lib ln -s /usr/lib/libzip.so $pkgdir$libzip_link fi }

So I decided to contact the Trillian devs to see find out what's going out considering there's not even been a Linux release in any form in about 6 months and this is the response I got back: "We are still actively working on the linux version. There are many distros with Linux and we do not have a fix yet for Arch Linux, but it is something that we plan on fixing up for the 2.1 build that we are releasing soon. - Kevin" I guess we'll need to see what happens with 2.1...

doest work for me :/ when started from console i get: trillian: /usr/lib/libcrypto.so.1.0.0: no version information available (required by trillian) trillian: /usr/lib/libssl.so.1.0.0: no version information available (required by trillian) Segmentation fault (core dumped) any news on that one?

Hmm, just tried installing Trillian for the first time (had no idea there was even a Linux version, used to use it years ago on Windows, but Soukyuu's comment is discouraging) and came up against the error mentioned by nullvoid ("no version information available"). The following StackOverflow question has some potential errors that involve recompiling openssh: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18390833/no-version-information-available So maybe an Arch Linux bug needs to be filed for the openssh package?
