aksr: I could, but I don't really have time. I'm on the verge of orphaning the packages I do own.

beej: Is there any way for you to adopt heimdal-aur and fix it?

aksr commented on 2013-04-23 05:46

beej: You were right! Thank you!
I run: source /etc/profile.d/heimdal.sh

askr: I think there's an error in the heimdal-aur package. When you install it, it says:

Run to source environment variables
needed to run heimdal and use heimdal libraries.

But it doesn't actually tell you what you need to run. :) What you need to run is /etc/profile.d/heimdal.sh.

So try doing any *one* of the following after installing heimdal-aur, and then build the trn package:

$ source /etc/profile.d/heimdal.sh

or

$ sh --login

or

log out of X and log back in again.

Let me know if that helps.

Hi beej,
thank you for your quick response.
I'm still having trouble compiling it.

I think that *configbot* needs to be modified, not sure, though.

aksr: thanks! It builds and runs now, but I've lost access to my NNTP feeds so I can't properly test it at the moment.

Hi beej,
this package should be updated.
For example, heimdal dependency is missing.

Perhaps it would be more robust to use

./Configure -OdErs -Doptimize='-O2 -g -Wall'
./Configure -desS

and ship a Policy.SH file that defines an organization or something.

Maybe it should depend to krb5 instead of heimdal

*spittake* I can't believe there was an update! :)
