I cannot reproduce this issue. Have you changed the your default ldc config?

I couldn't compile, with many errors like:

/usr/bin/ld: /tmp/lto-llvm-9578be.o: in function `_D3std3uni__T11__lambda354TEQBaQz13GraphemeStateTwZQBmFNaNbNiNfKQBlwZEQCqQCp12TransformRes':
tsvutils_version.d (.text._D3std3uni__T11__lambda354TEQBaQz13GraphemeStateTwZQBmFNaNbNiNfKQBlwZEQCqQCp12TransformRes+0xb): undefined reference to `_D3std8internal14unicode_tables7isHangVFNaNbNiNfwZb'

until I changed the 294th line in src/tsv-utils/makedefs.mk from

lto_link_flags = -defaultlib=phobos2-ldc-lto,druntime-ldc-lto -link-defaultlib-shared=false

to 

lto_link_flags = -link-defaultlib-shared=false

There is tsv-utils-bin, but still, if someone can explain...

  1. Seems I should have checked the build in a clean folder. Fixed.
  2. Could you ask upstream to add the scripts and the documentation to their build? Preferably with man pages.

after you changed the PKGBUILD,

it doesnt build. It is still looking for a non existing "tsv-utils-dlang" dir,

PKGBUILD: line 26: cd: /dev/shm/aurdest/tsv-utils/src/tsv-utils-dlang: No such file or directory
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build().
Aborting...

caused by line 26:

cd $srcdir/$_pkgname

Probably needs additional change in lines 3 and 4:

pkgname=tsv-utils
_pkgname=tsv-utils-dlang

Seems like they removed the "dlang" one.

The project homepage, https://github.com/eBay/tsv-utils, lists a fabulous amount of extremely usefull documentation, for example:

Tools reference - Detailed documentation....release notes. Tips and tricks - Simpler and faster command line tool use.... Comparing TSV and CSV formats ... etc

They, https://github.com/eBay/tsv-utils/blob/master/docs/ToolReference.md , provide detailed documentation about the different tools as well as examples.

These are contained in a folder "docs" as simple markdown files and pdfs in the source repo.

Could you please include this folder to install to, for example, /usr/share/docs/tsv-utils/docs ? Because other than this there is only very brief few lines of help with the "-h" flag for each of theses utilities
