I believe the xorg-font-utils dependency should be replaced with xorg-mkfontscale (as the former is not available anymore).

It seems the package/font has missing info [see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/37407894/matplotlib-does-not-detect-font]. Can you fix that?

Since version 4.2 of pacman, makepkg requires a package() function in PKBUILD. To fix, rename build() to package(). (There is no build step anyway.) See: - https://projects.archlinux.org/pacman.git/tree/NEWS#n58 - https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/creating_packages#package.28.29

Mike has given me an updated link. The font is now associated with a licence. I'm not a licencing expert but it looks like it's liberal. Mike's communication ratifies this impression. I'm sure he still appreciates donations via PayPal to <ch0000f at gmail dot com>.
