@oats I believe the checksum is correct. Are you using pacaur? Try removing LICENSE.md from the cache, for example:
rm ~/.cache/pacaur/ttf-iosevka-term/LICENSE.md
Other AUR helpers might be affected similarly.

Hello, this package fails the sha256 validity check. Could you please update the PKGBUILD?

That commit is from Jun 9, 2016. The checksum has already been updated and LICENSE has been renamed to LICENSE.md.
Are you using an AUR helper? It might have the old LICENSE.md in its cache.

A commit on master (https://github.com/be5invis/Iosevka/commit/b136664503eef01aade2f0706444ef593bfa8dfc) breaks the package.
LICENSE was updated and renamed LICENSE.md
===EDIT==
There is no license file in the downloaded file as I thought, but the file is available with the tag version.
===HOW TO FIX===
Replace LICENSE url to "https://raw.githubusercontent.com/be5invis/Iosevka/v1.8.6/LICENSE" in the PKGBUILD file.
It works, but the name must be changed for next releases.
