A couple of things:
The font has its own webpage (http://www.zone38.net/font/#pressstart) which the PKGBUILD probably should point to. There is also a download link on the page (http://www.zone38.net/font/pressstart2p.zip), it doesn't support HTTPS though.
The font is not at version 1.0 but 2.14 according to the webpage.
Why is the .install file necessary? The font cache is updated anyway through a hook.
