@petronny removed, thanks for ur advice.

Hi, please remove ttf-wps-fonts.install and it's not needed anymore. See https://www.archlinux.org/todo/pacman-hooks-fontconfig-xorg-mkfontdir/

Is this project - WPS Office dead? Because if it isn't, and properly updated, it's likely going to be a favourite on Linux. Heck, people may even pay a premium for it.

Cxpher commented on 2016-08-06 11:44 (UTC)

So you mean that if infinality fonts are used on the system, this package won't work right? Any way to put in the files manually?

rains commented on 2016-08-02 03:34 (UTC)

AFAIK, fontconfig-infinality may break this package. i received an email reporting about that. if you are using fontconfig-infinality or anything else but original fontconfig, please consider to change back to the original one.

So does this package work to resolve the issue? Or does it not work?

I've been fine with this package before, but when I updated to the latest wps, the problem popped up! WPS Office can't find Wingding and Symbols. @rain, any help? Maybe it's the problem with fontconfig-infinality?

rains commented on 2016-06-29 06:09 (UTC)

i'm sorry, but can you provide more information please? at least, which version of wps-office are you using? i don't know how to help you, because it works fine for me with the latest wps-office.

gregodadone commented on 2016-06-29 05:38 (UTC)

Same problem as zylddragons. WPS Office can't find Wingding and Symbols even thou they are well installed.

install 文件里是不是应该把 /usr/share/fonts/TTF 改成对应的 /usr/share/fonts/wps-fonts 呢?

petronny commented on 2016-06-01 09:50 (UTC)

缺少git作为makedepends

@d3Xt3r @zyldragoon i'm using wps-office 10.1.0.5503_a20p2-1. Both of Symbol and Wingdings are present and works fine. can you provide more detail information about this problem? thank you. 如果是中国同胞,可以用中文跟我说。

zyldragoon commented on 2016-04-17 08:13 (UTC)

got error "Some formula symbols might not be displayed correctly due to missing fonts Symbol, Wingdings."

d3Xt3r commented on 2016-02-08 22:55 (UTC)

Installed this and tried opening a document, but I got the following error: "Some formula symbols might not be displayed correctly due to missing fonts Symbol, Wingdings." I've checked /usr/share/fonts/wps-fonts/ and all fonts are present there. I've even created symlinks with alternate case names, but wps still complains that it can't find the fonts. Tried running it from the terminal but I can't see any debug output, so I'm not sure where exactly it's looking for the fonts and why it's failing.

done, thanks @maz-1 and @tangodaddy.

tangodaddy commented on 2015-10-16 18:17 (UTC)

A case of insensitivity to the case sensitivity of linux shells. SOLUTION: Add the following line to PKGBUILD within the package() { ... } environment: install -m644 "$srcdir/$pkgname/"*.TTF "$pkgdir/usr/share/fonts/wps-fonts/" Then, WEBDINGS.TTF will be installed.

maz-1 commented on 2015-10-04 13:33 (UTC)

"WEBDINGS.TTF" is not installed, please fix
