Finally got around to updating this! I've removed the rc.d service file from the PKGBUILD, and most people are now using systemd on Arch. Suppose you could remove this line nowdays: install -D -m755 "${srcdir}/tprintdaemon" "${pkgdir}/etc/rc.d/tprintdaemon"

I have the same problem like Aerion! The md5sums is wrong.

The md5sum fails on turboprint-2.28-1.x86_64.tgz
