I'm looking into it. Thanks for reporting!

EDIT: This is proving harder to debug than I initially thought.

If I try to press play or exit the launcher, it crashes with this output:

I am using KDE Plasma with the regular kernel. I have libayatana-appindicator and libappindicator installed on my system, but I'm guessing it's the bundled libs failing. Any ideas? Everything else works great, I'm launching the game through Steam manually instead of hitting play on the launcher at the moment.

Hey everyone

Sorry it took so long to get the package updated. I was heavily distracted with the game itself. Got my warrior to 60, got the Lorekeeper title while at it, and got started on addon and mod development.

This package is now updated to the latest version. It does not use system libs anymore, but the bundled ones.

If anyone specifically wants to use system libs, let me know and I'll try getting it done in a separate package.

Can I get co-maintainer on this? It hasn't been updated in a LONG time and I'd like to keep it up-to-date.

This currently wont get you online and playing Turtle WoW. Need a newer launcher version that points to new servers at turtlecraft.gg. This is a change that happened about 3 days ago. if you know what you're doing, download the new .AppImage for the launcher from turtlecraft.gg make it executable and put it where it needs to be.

I personally run this with launcher options to launch through steam and keep it on the latest Proton GE and have no issues with performance, even with all the high res textures installed.

Regarding game performance on arch (or any based arch distro), use wine-cachyos(aur package or wine-ge if u want) instead of the default wine (from extra packages), and if u can, delete the default wine prefix (~/.wine) so it will create a new one once u try to start the game. The default "Launch Arguments" for the "Play" button on the launcher will use the system wine and default wine prefix, u can modify it to use even a bash script or a specific wine prefix on the turtle wow launcher settings...

Like: WINEPREFIX="/path/to/your/prefix" wine /path/to/your/program.exe

the default is: wine $WoW.exe$

Use the full path to avoid problems...

I just seem to end up with a empty white window.

Game performance is terrible, don't know why

I updated the package to add webkit2gtk-4.1 as a dependency

install webkit2gtk-4.1 on your system
