Nice. Thanks for testing.

Sorry, I flagged it out of date. My bad. I did not refresh the page before flagging it :(

Thank you for the updated version, works perfectly on mine

Pushed a patch to change from kded5 to kded6 where relevant.

Something on my device is still wonky, since it claims to have not found any touchpad, and therefore did not load the kded_touchpad module until I ran the check:

$ tuxedo-touchpad-switch
setup_kde(...): Could not find touchpad module in kded.
main(...): setup_kde(...) failed.

$ qdbus org.kde.kded6 /modules/kded_touchpad org.kde.touchpad.workingTouchpadFound
false

# now starts, but does nothing:
$ tuxedo-touchpad-switch
^C

I don't really have time to investigate and/or test, so feedback welcome.

For kded6 a file should be patched. See https://github.com/tuxedocomputers/tuxedo-touchpad-switch/issues/19 for reference.

Inside prepare() we can uncomment and add the following for kded6, at least until upstream gets fixed sed 's/kded5/kded6/g' setup-kde.cpp -i

This package causes a reproducable shutdown hang for me (with KDE Plasma 5.24 on X11), with Systemd sigkilling all remaining processes after the timeout.

@oi_wtf Thank you. It works perfectly. Touchpad light is also active.

I've found the issue and included a patch. This may break the package on older plasma, though, so keep the unpatched version in that case. Hopefully upstream will find a way to solve this in a backwards compatible way.

@oi_wtf I know. This is a temporary solution but we need a permanent solution.

Workaround to unblock the touchpad: Open krunner (Alt-Space or Alt-F2) using the keyboard, run "pkill tuxedo-touch" or Alt-Tab to a Terminal if one is open. That does not fix the issue, but it'll get you the touchpad working.

@StevenSeifried There is a critical error in the touchpad driver. Touchpad not working when going from sleep mode to normal mode. I am using KDE Plasma 5.24.
