@francoism90: libhdhomerun is tiny, builds almost instantly, and rarely updates, so I'd rather leave it enabled, rather than requiring manual intervention during the build.

@pitt-2 any source? This makes it easier to add to the Wiki. You're always welcome to contribute.

Hello, for the Wiki! The VLC - vlc-htsp-plugin-git is outdated and should not be used anymore. VLC version 3 or higher detects tvheadend via Upnp! Greeting

@zman0900 Thanks for the update. :)
Could you please make hdhomerun optional? See the linux-ck
for an example how to set flags. I don't think most every need the hdhomerun dep.

Warning: if you have previously used this package, you need to reinstall! Sorry for introducing breaking changes, but hopefully the introduced changes will provide a better experience for most users. :)
Backup your configs (if needed) before performing the upgrade!
Changes:
/var/lib/tvheadend
instead of/usr/share/tvheadend
tvheadend
(member of groupvideo
) with config files stored in/etc/tvheadend
, it will not use a home directory anymore.sysusers.d
andtmpfiles.d
permissions should be easier to manage.tvheadend.service
now includes-C
by default. If you have any questions or suggestions, please let me know. :)
