@Capricious-frog most probably its because the old zip file has the same name as the new one so the aur helper didn't try to download the new one, another workaround is to clear the clone cache but it should be solved now anyways.

I tried to update the package and got a checksum error, I cloned the package and installed it that way and for some reason it didn't give an error. Just in case someone has the same issue.

sha512 for 1.40.9 incorrect, value should be:

Thanks, also ffmpeg is used for rendering videos so I think it should at least be an optdepends

unzip is not needed as a make dependency as bsdtar (part of base-devel) can extract zip files automatically, just remove the dependency and the unzip line (line 17) and it should still package fine
