This really needs an update. If you install this u-boot on a new Lime2 board the ethernet port won't function at all (at least when connected to a gigabit device) due to some of the GMAC Quirks which are fixed in recent versions of u-boot (by enabling the PHY to to the timing adjustments). Also, u-boot this old doesn't have a way to load device tree overlays! Up-to-date versions will build just fine for this board, at least.

I'm aware of that. But I'm not the one who broke it. Some developer thought it would be a good idea to block setting the arch variable inside a package() function. This PKGBUILD relies on exactly that. I need to overwrite the arch variable in a package() function.

I think it should generate a package with architecture arm, but it generates it with x86_64 architecture I wonder if the unset CFLAGS CXXFLAGS LDFLAGS statement from PKGBUILD will not work
