What filepath do the actual wallpapers install to? I've installed this package and I cannot find them. I expected /usr/share/backgrounds but they're not in there

Hi for compatibility with Mate desktop you can add this lines to PKGBUILD at bottom of package() section: # make background available for Mate desktop mkdir ${pkgdir}/usr/share/mate-background-properties cp ${pkgdir}/usr/share/gnome-background-properties/*.xml ${pkgdir}/usr/share/mate-background-properties/ sed -i 's/gnome-wp-list.dtd/mate-wp-list.dtd/' ${pkgdir}/usr/share/mate-background-properties/*.xml

yes xfce use a diferent path, they use /usr/share/backgrounds/xfce for the images, is even possible to do something??

kellerman commented on 2013-03-22 12:40 (UTC)

Hmm, can I make the wallpapers automatically appear in xfdesktop's settings panel? Currently I do symlinks to all images to /usr/share/backgrounds/xfce folder to achieve that.

@graysky: The python script creates some files for gnome-control-center so that name the name of the wallpaper shows up, instead of 'something.jpg' :) I figured that most people would probably have python already installed, so I didn't bother rewriting its functionality in the PKGBUILD.
