I get an 409 Conflict error already when trying to download:

However, manual download via the browser works.

Essentially broken, due to issues described below. I'm having success using a downgraded version of Unison, using the instructions at Specifically, I'm trying to sync with a machine running Ubuntu 14.04, and unison 2.40.102-2 from 2014/07/01 works perfectly.

Confirming successful usage of the unison-gtk .deb package from Ubuntu Vivid (15.04) repositories [1] on the client side. Server is running Unison from the official Debian jessie repositories [2]. [1] [2] Edit (2016-01-18): Alternatively, the unison-gtk .deb package from Debian jessie does also seem to work fine as a client: Edit (2017-08-26): Updated Debian link to point to jessie (now oldstable) instead of stable.

If you are having 'Uncaught exception Failure("input_value: bad bigarray kind") ' problem and the other end is an Ubuntu System (my case 14.04), you can install dpkg from aur and install unison deb package ignoring dependencies. It will work.

Small update in case anybody would want to adopt this, building against OCaml <4.02: it also requires maintaining a compat version of lablgtk2, or Unison won't build (`/usr/lib/ocaml/lablgtk2/pango.cmi is not a compiled interface for this version of OCaml`)

Disowning because it turns out to be unusable because of FS#43241, and I didn't feel like maintaining an OCaml <4.02 package + unison build as well.
