Sorry for the silence, I've been out of town for a few days. The key @Ranguvar mentioned is indeed the one that worked when updating the package. GPG issues are getting tiresome, honestly.
Here's the command in case the comment is changed or removed:
gpg --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys 927D02FA733C3D902D21CAC02D649F2B7B4C8179
I'm able to import the new key from Adrian Mariano <avm4 -at- crnell -dot- edu> now, using
gpg --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys 927D02FA733C3D902D21CAC02D649F2B7B4C8179ok instead of installing the normal way on Manjaro, I clicked the BUILD button and imported the key and it's working now
key 927D02FA733C3D902D21CAC02D649F2B7B4C8179 could not be imported
units 2.24-1
Any workaround to fix that ?
I haven't been able to find Adrian's PGP key in any server I tried. I'm guessing he hasn't uploaded them yet.
BTW, out of curiosity, @tarball where did you get the key from? I have not been able to find it anywhere, and the only email I see in the project's page is adrianm@gnu.org.

Recurring keyring problem.
wget https://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/units/units-2.24.tar.gz
tar xvf units-2.24.tar.gz
cd units-2.24
./configure && make && sudo make install
Probably a problem with your keyring. I just re-tested it with a freshly created unix user and it builds fine.
The build is failing due to a problem with the key in the comment below.
gpg: Note: signatures using the SHA1 algorithm are rejected
gpg: key 0x1889D5F0E0636F49: 2 bad signatures
gpg: key 0x1889D5F0E0636F49: no valid user IDs
gpg: this may be caused by a missing self-signature
People who wish to obtain the maintainer's key, can
gpg --fetch-keys 'https://savannah.gnu.org/people/viewgpg.php?user_id=33238'
after verifying user 33238 is the GNU maintainer for units.
