@algebro unityhub puts the stuff in your home (don't remember the exact path) so it should be pretty clean and isolated from the system packages.

Please, let me know if this fixes your problem because that means there's something wrong with the other package.

How cleanly does unity hub install and uninstall versions of Unity editor? I’m pulling my hair out trying to get unity-editor 2019 to not crash when loading a project and I’m considering just trying to install using this package. I am generally really hesitant to install software outside of the package manager so i figured I’d ask first.

Thanks!

Looks like there's a new md5sum

@devil_driver you can't download the linux version from the web as far as I know.

@tinytangent When you downloaded without the proxy did you get the last version? Maybe some mirrors take longer to update and that's why the file is different.

I don't know why they would serve a different build for china. But if that's the case you could also replace the checksum with SKIP so you don't need to deal with the proxy.

I can't really put that change in the package because they don't offer versioned urls for the downloads and then I wouldn't know when they change the binary. And also people would download the wrong version during the time it takes for me to update the package.

Seems the MD5 sum differs when downloading from a different country, leading to the failure of the build process. (I was downloading from Mainland China.)

When using a proxy server in the US, however, the PKGBUILD works fine.

@cra0zy @VoodaGod thanks!

i had to make /opt/unityhub/resources/app.asar.unpacked/external/7z/linux64/7z executable in order to install Windows Build support, as unityhub now bundles its own 7zip
