After successfully downloading and validating files, I get the following errors about permissions to write of specific directories:

Any insight how to make these operations permitted during the installation process? Thanks!

Minor error from the console output: LogHAL:Warning: LinuxPlatformProcess::AttemptToMakeExecIfNotAlready: could not chmod +x '/opt/unrealtournament4/LinuxNoEditor/Engine/Binaries/Linux/CrashReportClient', errno=1 (Operation not permitted)

Doing the chmod as root resolves this. Should probably be done during install.

@electricprism your problem that your have to increase you tmpfs folder size. you can check if it is true: $ df -H sample output: tmpfs 18G 2.0M 18G 1% /tmp /dev/sda2 524M 136k 524M 1% /boot/efi /dev/sda4 190G 104G 77G 58% /home if it was mounted on /tmp folder ( as it should be ) you cat increase it temporary: $ sudo mount -o remount,size=16G,noatime /tmp but this will be remounted to default size ( half of your RAM size ) after your next boot.

This is awesome. May I suggest adding another Desktop file entry for the '-opengl4' flag? Maybe in a few months they'll have Vulkan support also, would be useful to have different options built into the package. Also, I'm unsure if this is still necessary but in the past it was required to use the '-SaveToUserDir' flag to ensure it saves data within $HOME instead of trying to save it in the same directory that you install to.

@electricprism seems your download either disconnected or didnt finish completely, or got interrupted. the url is working fine here. You can download it manually then put it into your extracted snapshot folder, it will work fine for makepkg: this package is highly recommended to be downloaded as a snapshot (as mentioned in the pkgbuild) then run using makepkg -i, as the zip file is over 10gb, larger than most /tmp directories allow
