Because upmpdcli installs upmpdcli.service in /lib/systemd/system/ I defined a system-wide service (sudo systemctl status upmpdcli) It has nothing to do with my Iphone app Mconnect or C5 because all fubctioned well before I installed recoll and python mutagen. What also happened, I have to open my smartphone app before I start upmpdcli.service, otherwise no friendly name will appear....

Maybe it has to do with result of sudo systemctl status upmpdcli: . . :4:libupnpp/device/device.cxx:515::UpnpDevice::addService: [urn:av-openhome-org:serviceId:Credentials] :4:src/execmd.cpp:472::ExecCmd::startExec: (0|1) openssl {rsa} {-in} {/var/cache/upmpdcli/ohcreds/credkey.pem} {-RSAPublicKey_out} :4:src/execmd.cpp:997::ExecCmd::wait: got status 0x0 :4:src/ohcredentials.cxx:393::OHCredentials: error opening for read (probably not an error)/var/cache/upmpdcli/ohcreds/screds errno 2 . .

Can somebody else check the result of sudo systemctl status upmpdcli?

If the command systemctl --user status upmpdcli is not giving errors, the problem is in the Android app. I suggest to stop all active applications, before restarting Mconnect or BubbleUPnP. On restarting you must wait some time or click on the refresh button

Addition to my problem: Friendly name disappears in my control app after installing recoll and python mutagen. NB Friendly name disappears after exit / start of control app (mconnect & C5) So, I have to restart upmpdcli to get Friendly name back as "Play To" device.

Thanks to keithspg I installed upmpdcli succesful. But.... After I restart an upnp app (mcconnect, mc5) the friendly name disappeared from the list "Play To" After I restart upmpdcliservice the friendly name appears again in the list "Play To"

I had 1.4.7 and now 1.4.8 building and working for x64, armv6 and armv7. Where can I send my PKGBUILDs? Make sure you do what I said below: Build and install sequentially in this order: libnpupnp, libupnpp then upmpdcli. You need libnpupnp to build libupnpp and both to build a working upmpdcli.

I try to update to 1.4.7, but get the error: ../.cache/yay/libnpupnp/PKGBUILD: line 16: ./bootstrap: Permission denied ==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build(). Aborting... I have no idea what to do now?

I have updated to 1.4.7 but temporarily using the previous libupnp library. It seems to work. Tested with BubbleUPnP Qobuz

I will try to make a package for the new libnpupnp (that replace libupnp) in the next days

Today I will make some tests.

Hello, do you have any news on the availability of the updated package ? I'm stuck installing Audiolinux for now... Thanks

upmpdcli now has 3 packages that must be built for upmpdcli. They must be built and installed sequentially in this order: libnpupnp, libupnpp then upmpdcli. I know because this bit me. This probably should be pinned to the comments or in the PKGBUILD, somehow.
