This patch from gentoo: http://sources.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/gentoo-x86/net-misc/urlview/files/urlview-0.9-DESTDIR.patch?revision=1.1 adds DESTDIR support which simpifies the building of the package. It doesnt need the creating of all the directories that way.
