Thanks, nice catch! I thought for sure rsync was in base or base-devel. I've removed the dependency on rsync.

I've updated the package, the desktop shortcut should now be working. The binary is also now called "urn-gtk" as intended, instead of "urn". Also there is a new vim package in [testing] that is tagged as providing xxd so the xxd issue will be fixed soon!

New tip for me, thanks! The gnome desktop link doesn't seem to work, but launching from cli is ok. Had to put the split sample into ~/urn/splits to understand how urn works.

anxest, I've made vim a dependency. I'll see with the vim package maintainer if they can tag it as providing xxd so xxd from the AUR will be preferred if vim is not installed. The problem you describe seems to be the aftermath of trying to build once without xxd installed. Try rebuilding from scratch by deleting src/ from the build directory.

xxd command is note available by default, it's included in Vim, so Vim should be in dependances (or xxd from aur).
