I get the following error when running: An error occurred while talking to the udisks service. Any ideas as to what the problem might be? Udisks and udisks2 are installed.

Just a FYI, running e17 I had to use sudo (without any args) to run this, and I also had to manually modprobe the loop kernel module... everything went well after that.

@adaptee: Yeah, all is fine now, apparently. I don't know why it didn't install udisks for me... Or I don't know if I removed udisks...

@milasch : it works well for me under gnome. I guess some dbus service is not working correctly on your system.
