@BluePeril, thank you. Checksums for version 7.5.1 are fixed.

Would you please be so kind to add this patch (https://pastebin.com/V9eaPTks) to the PKGBUILD? This will fix the checksums for 7.5.1 and prevents errors for "makepkg --source". Thanks

Hi, I'm trying to install this package but it always displays the same error. After researching, I downloaded these two packages specified in the PKGBUILD http://www.valentina-db.com/en/studio/download/current/vstudio_lin_32_rpm?format=raw http://www.valentina-db.com/en/studio/download/current/vstudio_x64_lin-rpm?format=raw" Then I checked the sha256sums for these two packages and edited the PKGBUILD accordingly: sha256sums_i686=('2cf5c1a8ee46784acac3e8ad298978fcdc32a89a9581daff5409a4501eecd085') sha256sums_x86_64=('13f3d82a05c14da6309da417ebc1926864db2040e0edc9578a7d4c8303a38b52') But still getting these errors: ==> Validating source_x86_64 files with sha256sums... valentina-studio-7.3.3-x86_64.rpm ... FAILED ==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check! ==> ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build valentina-studio. ==> Restart building valentina-studio ? [y/N] Can someone please help me to get this package installed properly?

@mcrose, A method should be (because i not see any checksum validation file in the valentina-studio web site and the problem appear every time from long time ago) to just put SKIP instead of the checksum code. For do that, you can ask for edit mode from your package AUR manager (for exemple for pacaur, it is pacaur -Se valentina-studio vaentina-studio-code, for update and edit pkgbuild of packages). Take care the pkgbuild is really the one for valentina-studio... same for valentina-studio-code, two times SKIP on each sum codes. This way is for skip checksum integrity. Or you can download the full sources from web site and do sha256sum on each and replace the bad one by the new one on each place. yes... like that... so why not by default SKIP this for ever directly in the pkgbuid ? i don't know. ALSO there is an error in the pkgbuild in my side... there is no good direction for srcdir, and usr/share/applications is empty on source cache. so with or without SKIP check sum, this pkgbuild is broken and need to be fixed. the other way is to remove the AUR package and install it from source rpm or deb package to convert and install on archlinux (there is tool for that). good luck...

same problem again and again and again... update break the sha256 sum control. It should be a good idea for bobolin to make a script for make automatically new sha256 sum control and show it here on this page (or maybe include it on the pkgfile). actually on version 7.1.6-1 on x86_64, sha256 sum is f23aa395cc9352ec08a2f03016d91f7b7f35c78274870fe68e658a50357ead9f

Latest version is 7.1.5 sha256sums_x86_64=('ab38a1faae6e4b6ec311c70c5753d9140a241806dbeff316d5ecbb65665f02ff')

This package is out of date again (latest version is 7.1.3). Consequently, the checksum fails.

Scimmia, Thank you very much for the recommendation. Accept my apologies for the delay in time. PKGBUILD is now corrected.
