It seems vnsiserver moved to https://github.com/FernetMenta/vdr-plugin-vnsiserver
After adjusting some cd arguments to 'cd "$srcdir/$_gitname"' the package can be created.

Ah! The plugin's official name changed since I created the PKGBUILD, and I missed it because I don't actually use this plugin at the moment.

In order to not get caught out by another change in official name, I've amended the PKGBUILD so that it reads the plugin's official name from the Makefile and adapts the install accordingly.

I'll have a think about a vnsiserver3 package but there's nothing to stop someone else creating and maintaining one in the meantime.

actually the master branch includes vnsiserver4 (for xbmc gotham). The vnsiserver3 (for Frodo) is located in the Frodo branch.
Maybe a new package for Frodo (or Gotham) would be usefull.

Err, I should really have done this first but a diff of the master and frodo branches of vdr-plugin-vnsiserver indicates that they are identical. I'm going to have that frodo package deleted.

Renaming a package isn't possible so I've just created and submitted vdr-vnsiserver-frodo-git. If the frodo branch of xbmc-pvr-addons gets merged into the master branch then I'll have the frodo package deleted.
