Hello,

I'm using Arch Linux with kernel version 6.14.5-arch1-1, and I encountered a build failure when trying to install the veeamblksnap DKMS module (version 6.3.1.1016).

During DKMS installation, I received the following error:

Building module(s)...(bad exit status: 2) Failed command: make -j8 KERNELRELEASE=6.14.5-arch1-1 -C /usr/lib/modules/6.14.5-arch1-1/build M=/var/lib/dkms/veeamblksnap/6.3.1.1016/build

Error! Bad return status for module build on kernel: 6.14.5-arch1-1 (x86_64) Consult /var/lib/dkms/veeamblksnap/6.3.1.1016/build/make.log for more information.

It seems the module is not currently compatible with the latest kernel.

Hello,

  • contact email is missing
  • there is no need to use rpmextract or similar, archive get a first round of extracion with bsdtar by default
  • no need to use msg/msg2, change in function is already written
  • please use SPDX license identifier https://rfc.archlinux.page/0016-spdx-license-identifiers/
