Thank you, Serus. I wasn't aware of this (new) oppotunity in 2016. It worked like a charm after consulting ArchWiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/TrueCrypt#Accessing_a_TrueCrypt_or_VeraCrypt_container_using_cryptsetup

Consider using cryptsetup rather than veracrypt itself for this, as that does not require fuse and thus will be faster.

Hi famyse, no, it does not address the lack of system encryption support under Linux. System encryption is possible with different technologies under Linux: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/disk_encryption#Comparison_table If hidden encrypted volumes work with this hook, I have not tested yet, so I do not know, if that works. "var, /usr or any directory" is possible to decrypt during boot and afterwords mounted e.g. via an entry in /etc/fstab.

Hi, does this address the lack of system encryption support under Linux? Can it be used with hidden encrypted volumes? Can it be used to on-the-fly decrypt /var and /usr during boot, while the rest of root is not encrypted? Thanks for the contribution
